I am thirteen and am in eighth grade
I have had three illustrations selected for Mrs. Cori’s books. The books are Everybody Toots, Remarkable Me!, and Cooped Up.
My favorite illustration was probably my submission for Everybody Toots because it was a very different kind of illustration going along with a very different type of book. I really enjoyed drawing that piece.
My favorite art medium is either painting or drawing. I prefer painting with watercolors because they blend so much better, but I also like acrylics. As for drawings, I prefer colored pencils because I feel like I have more control of the pencil. But it is definitely a tie between drawing and painting.
My favorite part about school is probably either the learning or the interaction (though that is limited due to the coronavirus) between my classmates with both each other and the teachers.
My favorite activity outside of school is probably playing the piano. I love music. I am learning how to play the guitar, I want to take voice lessons, I play the piano, and I want to get my old viola back so I can continue playing it. Music is such a big part of my life.
An interesting fact about me is that I have two dogs, a yorkshire terrier/poodle mix and a rottweiler. I am a rottweiler-lover. I love all the “bully breeds” like pit bulls, rottweilers, german shepards, etc. So, basically, I am a big dog/animal lover.
